Far Infrared Heat, far Superior

Infrared energy, also known as radiant heat, is a form of energy that heats objects directly through a process called conversion, without having to heat the air in between. Our sun is the principal source of radiant energy.

Far-infrared rays are part of the sunlight spectrum which is invisible to the naked eye. They are also known as biogenetic rays. Scientists have proven that these rays promote the growth and health of living cells in humans, animals and plants.

Far-infrared light penetrates beyond the skin level and is absorbed by cells below, whereas visible light is mostly bounced off the skin surface. Near-infrared is mostly absorbed at the skin level and raises the skin temperature. Far-infrared can penetrate up to 4 centimetres, causing resonance with water molecules and resonating with cellular frequencies. Thus, FIR can revitalize human cells and tissue by warming the body from the inside.

FIR ionizes and activates water molecules in our cells and blood and improves our blood circulation and health condition. The human body contains more than 70% water (H2O) by weight.

FIR treatment is mostly available through dry saunas and the HotHouse, a portable dome-shaped tent used to apply infrared radiant energy directly to a person sitting or laying underneath.

Saunas work largely by promoting detoxification through the sweat," says John C. Cline, M.D. and Medical Director of the Cline Medical Centre and Oceanside Functional Medicine Research Institute on Vancouver Island, B.C. "Saunas also stimulate cells to release toxins which can then be eliminated by the liver and bowel. Several published studies have now shown that this hypothermic therapy can bring about the rapid removal of a wide range of toxic substances from the human body."

Research has shown that the dry sauna is actually more efficient in detoxification and removing heavy metals from the body than the more common wet saunas.

One study done by American researchers showed that sweat released by users of a Far Infrared sauna (80-85% water) was different from the sweat of people using a conventional sauna (90-95% water). The non-water portion of sweat released in a FIR sauna was cholesterol, fat-soluble toxins, toxic heavy metals, sulphuric acid, sodium, ammonia and uric acid.

Even NASA has confirmed that Far Infrared rays are the most beneficial for the life and growth of all living things on this planet.

FIR saunas operate at a much cooler air temperature range. Many individuals who cannot tolerate a conventional sauna, steam room or sweat lodge will find FIR saunas much more tolerable. The lower heat range is also safer for those with cardiovascular risk factors or fragile health because lower temperatures don't dramatically elevate heart rate and blood pressure.

Infrared light is an important energy force that promotes healing through raising the white blood cell count. This in turn enhances our immune system. Far Infrared produces nitric oxide. White cells use nitric oxide to defend against tumours.

Some of the effects of Far-infra-red rays on our human body are:

• Activating water molecules in our body

• Improving oxygen level in our body

• Eliminating fats, chemicals and toxins from our blood

• Eliminating heavy metals from the body

• Reducing and balancing acidic level in our body

• Improving nervous system

• Reducing stress and fatigue

• Pain relief

• Weight loss

• Toning the body

• Increased blood circulation and lymph drainage

• Lowering and balancing cholesterol

• Boosting immune system

• Normalizing blood pressure

• Getting rid of cellulite

• Speeding up healing and repairing body tissues and cells

• Reducing swelling and inflammation

• Improving joint and muscle mobility

• Dilating capillaries, veins and arteries for improved oxygenation

• Getting rid of arterial plaque

• Improving the functions of organs and the digestive system

• Cleansing the skin, improving texture and colour

• Improving perspiration system

• Eliminating bad odour

Japanese and Chinese researchers have researched infrared treatments with positive results. In Germany whole-body infrared therapy has been used for over 80 years by physicians in an independently developed form.

Otto Warburg was nominated for the Nobel Prize in 1944 for research concerning photosynthesis in connection with the chemotherapeutics of cancer and the use of x-rays. His research showed that far infrared (the heat radiation of the Sun) impacts cancer.

Other household items with FIR are FIR ovens, a healthy alternative to microwave ovens and are said to kill E. coli bacteria. The list continues with FIR coated plates that kill bacteria, FIR-emitting paints and wallpaper that kill molds, and FIR shower filters.

Bioenergetic FIR mattresses, mats and quilts are said to clear up insomnia, fatigue, menopausal symptoms, high blood pressure, and much more.
